The Wharton Collection

January 19th, 2012 § 0 comments § permalink

The Wharton Collection is a group of pieces made from salvaged fir and walnut.  The table top, seat tops and bookcase are all made from reclaimed fir 2 x 4 studs that were pulled out of a home being renovated in the Rosedale neighborhood of Toronto.  Many of the nail and wiring holes have been left in place.  On the table top, the holes have been filled with a black polyester resin to provide a durable, clean-able surface.  The collection includes a dining table, stools, a bench, and a bookcase.  New pieces will be added to this collection in the coming months including a coffee table and side tables.  The collection will be shown together at the Toronto Interior Design Show from January 26th-29th, 2012.
